  • Recognition that those who have progressed through several stages of our vigorous process are talented graduates with a range of strengths and skills we need in our workforce, we appoint a proportion of these candidates in merit order at Executive Officer and Higher Executive Officer grade, depending on how far they progressed in the Fast Stream process. The EO Direct Appointment Scheme (DAS) candidates are those who do not meet the Fast Stream Minimum Standard at the Fast Stream Assessment Centre (FSAC). HEO DAS candidates are those who do meet the profession’s Fast Stream Minimum Standard at the Final Selection Board stage and so are not offered a Fast Stream post
